Function Room
The White Horse
has an attractive and flexible function room, formerly the pub’s
Billiard and Dining rooms, on the first floor which is available
for private hire. Together they form an L shaped room. The
larger room measures 594 sq. feet (28 sq. metres). The smaller
room is ideal for serving coffee, lunch, or tea when the
Billiard Room is in use for a meeting.
The rooms
overlook Parson’s Green and have large sash windows, striking
art nouveau mirrors and high ceilings and are suitable for a
variety of uses, for example: lectures, exhibitions, board
meetings, sales briefings, press launches, tutored wine tastings,
craft classes, private lunches, dinner and drinks parties.

For
a number of years we have hosted many of Wine Magazine’s
tastings along with tastings for wine merchants, brewers
and organisations including: Threshers, Wakefield, British Guild
of Beer Writers, Beers of the World Magazine, Majestic, & CAMRA.
Business Meetings / Presentations.
We provide
boardroom meetings
for thirty people and presentations, theatre style, for fifty.
Training Courses.
With flip charts,
a projector and and screen we are a popular venue for the likes
of Beer Acc and Mitchells & Butlers.
Dinner Parties.
From corporate
dinners to Burns Night banquets we can provide menus to suit
most pockets and any requirement.
Drinks Parties.
With canapés
upstairs and more basic sustenance downstairs.
Baptisms / Weddings / Funerals.
We enjoy a close
working relationship with the vicar (parson) of St. Dionis and
the regular referrals from the parish.
Using both
rooms 64 can be accommodated for a formal dinner or luncheon,
80-100 people for a reception and 80 for a buffet meal.
