Pinot Noir & Gamay

Pinot Noir has an excellent reputation for its red wines of Burgundy and the cooler areas of the New World – especially New Zealand and the US. Gamay (which probably originated as a mutation of Pinot Noir) is the red grape of Beaujolais. Both will often taste sweet with notes of raspberry & strawberry but can also produce gamey wines with a more earthy, vegetal aroma.
